A beginner’s guide to Google analytics, understanding who is visiting your site, where they are visiting your site from and how they are interacting with your site.

Trading Online- Wednesday, 13th December 2017 (9:30 – 12:30)

The workshop will examine:

  • e-commerce opportunities for your business
  • selecting products to sell online
  • what product catalogues and shopping carts are available
  • appropriate payment options
  • the importance of usability and search engine optimisation
  • processes for order management and fulfilment
  • distance selling regulations
  • good practice in data security
  • website performance measures
  • selecting suppliers

By the end of the workshop you will be able to draw up a detailed action plan to set up your online trading presence.

Advertising with Social Media- Thursday 18th January 2018, (9:30 – 12:30)

Social media advertising is becoming increasingly popular with businesses and recent research shows that this trend is set to continue, as paid social media is being seen as an essential part of a coordinated social media strategy.

If you don’t understand how advertising works across the main social media channels you could end up wasting a lot of money. Our ‘Be Your Own Boss’ Roadshow is running at a range of venues in Fife and aims to give you the help you need to become self-employed and start your own business.

So, if you want to be your own boss, then why not come along to one of our events. At this informal session, you’ll find out more about what’s involved in starting your own business. What you need to know, who can help and what services you can access. In two hours, you’ll find the answer to these questions and meet others who are in the same situation.
